Corian is a product under which the company DuPont produces solid surface material. Though there are multiple applications, mainly it is used as a benchtop and countertop surface. The material is composed of alumina trihydrate (ATH) and acrylic polymer. ATH is derived from bauxite. Corian is a stain-resistant and non-porous element. Now let us check the more characteristics of Corian acrylic solid surface:
•    Thermo-ormable effect: This means the material becomes flexible on heating. Accordingly, the Corian acrylic solid surfaces can be shaped or moulded into multiple shapes as per need. This flexibility is the main reason why the material is widely used in the industry of interior designing.

•    Seamless-appearance: During fabrication, the joints become invisible with the help of Corian two-part acrylic adhesive.

 •    Heat resistant and scratch-able: The Corian Material is Heat Resistant up-to hundred degree Celsius. The scratches are visible on the darker colours.

•    Hygienic: The Corian solid acrylic surface does not support the growth of fungi or any other bacteria. By many independent laboratories, it has been identified as the hygienic material.

•    Non-toxic: The Corian acrylic solid surface is a non-toxic and inert material. This means that It does not emit gases under normal temperature. On burning, it releases Carbon dioxide mainly. The smoke generated does not have halogenated gases.

•    Easily repairable: In case of any small damage, there is no need of replacing the whole surface. The surface can be wiped using the cloth only.
Now let us see what kind of doors can be used with the Corian acrylic solid surface:

•    Plain MDF board: MDF is an acronym used for Medium-density fibreboard. It is a wooden board artificially made up of residue of wood. MDF is pressed under high temperature to make large sheets like plywood. The plain MDF boards are widely used because they are very affordable. Some of the other benefits are: High resistance to temperature, Physically strong, Easily mouldable

•    Fibre Cement Boards: In the Fibre Cement Boards, the fibre is supported with the cement. That’s why the material is very strong and widely appreciated in the market. This way during a production process, with the help of fibre cement the long-lasting materials can be easily developed.

•    Wooden Flush door: A flush door is made up using a Timber frame. After this, the door is finished by veneer on the top. It is usually available in the thickness of 25mm and 30mm.  Accordingly, the flush entry door can be created of any thickness according to the need.

•    Solid core flush door: Mainly a Flush door is of generally two types. These are hollow core and solid core flush door. In case of a solid core flush door, there are blocks of solid wood. In comparison to this, the hollow core doors have a supporting honey-comb structure. In between both of them, the solid core flush doors are better and soundproof. A solid core flush door is mainly used in the construction of flush entry door whereas a hollow core door is used for making partitions.
